WHITLEY BAY PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY
Whitley Bay Photographic Society won the NCPF North Tyne Area Print Championship at Ponteland on 28 March. The competition was judged by Jim Welsh of Blyth in front of a large audience from the various clubs involved. It was a close battle between Gosforth, Tynemouth and Whitley Bay throughout the competition. Club Secretary, Jan Clements, received the trophy on behalf of Whitley Bay and thanked the judge and the organising society.

The 2nd Round Print Competition has been brought forward by a week to 24 January 2012. There is no change to the hand in date, but 10 January will be the closing date with no late entries being accepted.
The PAGB GB Cup will move back a week to 31 January.
The Judging of the 2nd Round Print Competition will now be done by Don Bennett of Durham, who has kindly stepped in to fill the vacancy caused when Dennis Balmer unfortunately had withdraw due to his wife’s ill health.
