WHITLEY BAY PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY

The NCPF Annual Clubs Championship was held at Gateshead on 16 February.

The PDI competition was won by Northallerton from Durham. These two clubs will go to Warwick to represent NCPF in the PAGB National competition. Whitley Bay finished 12th equal out of the 22 clubs who entered. Andrew Nicoll’s image “Endless Struggle” scored the maximum of 15 points and was selected as the best individual image in the competition.

The Print competition ended with joint winners. Both Northallerton and Tynemouth qualified to represent NCPF at the PAGB National final at Edge Hill. Whitley Bay finished 6th out of 17 clubs. The best individual colour print was by John Petty of South Shields and the winning mono print was by Bill Stephens of Cramlington.

At the NCPF Annual Clubs Championship Andrew Nicoll’s image “Endless Struggle” (shown below) scored the maximum of 15 points and was selected as the best individual image in the PDI competition.

JEFF BECOMES PRESIDENT (Posted April 2015)

At the Annual General Meeting on 28 April the retiring President, Andrew Nicoll, handed over the office to new President Jeff Evans. Jeff started off his two years in office by thanking Andrew for the work he had done during his time as President.
